Jump Back July


When summer is knocking at our door we tend to react in a variety of ways. Some don their summer outfits and hit the beaches, others shy away from this season because of the overexposure to social activities. I used to be one of these people, for although I love the warm weather, the blue skies and I really miss my rocky beaches, by time I started hiding at home, scared to show my true colours in broad daylight.

My 2 small children have no doubt been an asset and also a continuous support in getting out of the house more regularly and focus on the happy thoughts, focus on the NOW, focus on not worrying. They are my resilient coaches for they are not aware of harsh judgements and hurtful criticism. They are free from negative beliefs, at least for now and for as long as I can keep these beliefs at bay.

So for July, I thought we could focus on the word YET.

instead of I don't have time to ... reframe it to I don't have time to ... YET

instead of I can't ... reframe your thought to I can't... YET

Be aware of those feelings that pull you down, of the thoughts that cloud a sunny day in your head and say to yourself, I'm grateful for the little things that are a constant in my life and even though I'm not where I want to be, I know it's a question of time... I'm not where I want to be YET
